9.40

䗍髻梵王長跪合掌，勸請世尊而作是言：「如來大悲慈愍眾生，願為來世盲冥眾生，具足演說觀像相法，令諸眾生依佛所說恒得值遇諸佛世尊得念佛三昧，三昧力故令諸眾生遠離罪惡，以罪滅故現見諸佛。」

Brahmā King Śikhin knelt on both knees, joined his palms, and entreated the Bhagavat, saying: "The Tathāgata has great compassion and pities sentient beings. May you fully expound the method of contemplating the marks of the image for the sake of the blind and dark sentient beings of future ages, so that sentient beings may rely upon what the Buddha has spoken to constantly encounter the Buddha Bhagavats and attain the buddhānusmṛti-samādhi, and through the power of samādhi cause all sentient beings to leave behind sins and evil, and through the eradication of sin, see the Buddhas face to face in the present."
