"Hundreds of millions of rays shine toward the northeast, reaching as far as immeasurable worlds in the northeast. Their light is pure and free from defilements, like a crystal mirror revealing both inside and out. Within that light one sees the Buddhas of the ten directions, all manifesting the navel mark. From each Buddha's navel, light illuminates immeasurable Buddha-realms throughout the ten directions; in each Buddha-realm are transformation Buddhas as numerous as fine dust motes; and each transformation Buddha has bodhisattvas as numerous as fine dust motes as their retinue. The light from the navel mark of these bodhisattvas is like golden pillars. At the tips of these golden pillars, tens of billions of heavenly robes, jeweled chests, and jeweled caskets descend from the void like cloud-terraces; each chest and casket has tens of billions of bright rays; one hundred million rays combine to form one Buddha; and within each Buddha's body are immeasurable fine dust motes and countless transformation lights. At the tips of the rays are transformation Buddhas, resembling mustard seeds. These small Buddha bodies also manifest the navel mark, as described above. The light from these navels illuminates the ten directions everywhere, enters the navels of the Buddhas, emerges from the Buddhas' navels, and enters the chests of the bodhisattvas; it emerges from the bodhisattvas' chests and enters the crowns of the śrāvakas; emerging from the crowns of the śrāvakas, like a great cloud interspersed with immeasurable golden colors and myriad gems, it enters under the Buddha's feet. Having entered under the feet, great light emerges from the thousand-spoked wheel mark under the feet. Its light is like flowers, flower following upon flower, circumambulating the Buddha one hundred million times. From the red-copper nails, the instep, and the pores of the skin up to the uṣṇīṣa, all the hairs on the Buddha's body open like lotus flowers. Within a single pore there are eighty-four thousand lotus flowers; upon each lotus flower are eighty-four thousand transformation Buddhas; each transformation Buddha has eighty-four thousand great bodhisattvas as their retinue; and the manifold rays between the eyebrows of each bodhisattva emit exquisite sounds praising the Buddha's form-body."
