“When this mark was manifested, the mother of Rāhula saw that bodily organ, flower upon flower in succession like heavenly karpāsa. Upon each flower were countless large-bodied bodhisattvas holding white flowers and circumambulating the bodily organ; having appeared, it retracted and disappeared again like the aforementioned sun's disc. This is called the bodhisattva’s mark of the sheathed organ. The Tathāgata has now attained the path to awakening; he is a great man possessing a male body, and he shall again manifest the male mark for you.”
