"Again, a Buddha appeared, named Candanasāgara Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha. A million Buddhas like this all shared the same name: Candanasāgara. These Bhagavats converted and liberated sentient beings by means of the light from the svastika sign—the mark of virtue—upon their chests. At that time, that boy personally attended upon those Buddhas without interruption, bowing, making offerings, joining his palms, and contemplating the Buddhas. Through the power of the causes and conditions of contemplating the Buddhas' merits, he again encountered a million asaṃkhyeya Buddhas. Those Bhagavats also converted and liberated sentient beings by means of their physical forms. From then on, he attained hundreds of thousands of millions of mindfulness-of-the-Buddha samādhis and acquired a million asaṃkhyeyas of revolving dhāraṇīs. Having attained these, the Buddhas manifested before him and expounded the signless Dharma, and within a single moment he attained the śūraṅgama-samādhi.
