1.22

梵志白佛言：「我見父子二人耕地下種，子死在地，父亦不愁反更索食，而反向我說無常事。母、婦及姊與奴，都無愁憂。是為大逆無返復也。」

The brahmacārin said to the Buddha, "I saw a father and son plowing the land and sowing seed. When the son died on the ground, the father felt no sorrow, but instead asked for food, and went on to speak to me about impermanence. The mother, the wife, the sister, and the servant were likewise completely without sorrow. This is a great transgression, lacking any sense of mutual duty!"
