1.24

并觀十二因緣，為護身一切。如其傾側，一切萬物皆亦傾側；如其平正，一切含生皆令安隱無為。若下臺著地之時，令三塗眾生苦劇踰增；若不著地，令三塗眾生因之得拔。如其顛倒，則逆世界，亦令行者其心迷亂；若能順持，彼此俱利。若如是持，具現得威儀出入護助，後得獲果，速成正覺。

Also contemplate the twelve links of dependent origination as the protection of all within the body. If it tilts, all myriad things will also tilt; if it is level and upright, all sentient beings will be caused to be tranquil and unconditioned. If the lower platform touches the ground, the suffering of sentient beings in the three wretched realms will increase even more intensely; if it does not touch the ground, sentient beings in the three wretched realms will be rescued on account of it. If it is inverted, it goes contrary to the world, and will also cause the practitioner's mind to be bewildered and confused; if one can carry it properly, both oneself and others will be benefited. If one holds it in this way, one will presently possess the proper deportment, being protected and assisted in going out and entering, and will later attain the fruit, swiftly accomplishing correct awakening.
