佛言：「是錫杖者，為修智士，廣修多聞，解世出世，分別善惡，有為無為，有漏無漏，了智無礙，智慧成就，故曰智杖。

The Buddha said: "This ringing staff is for those who cultivate wisdom to extensively cultivate learning, understand the mundane and supramundane, distinguish good and evil, conditioned and unconditioned, defiled and undefiled; their understanding and wisdom are unhindered, and wisdom is perfected; therefore it is called the staff of wisdom.
