3.1

爾時婆誐鑁，毘盧遮那佛，
告持金剛手：「佛子志心聽，
種子曼荼羅。先觀阿字門，
轉生於嚩字，乃至一切字，
而成曼荼羅。印契曼荼羅，
轉此成幖幟，餘相廣如經。
寶冠舉手印，住於字門者，
事業速成就。」

At that time, the Bhagavān,
Vairocana Buddha,
addressed Vajrapāṇi:
“Son of the Buddha, listen with a dedicated mind
to the bīja-maṇḍala.
First contemplate the syllable-door A,
which transforms and gives birth to the syllable Va,
and so on unto all syllables,
thus accomplishing the maṇḍala.
In the mudrā-maṇḍala,
transform these into insignia;
the remaining marks are detailed in the sūtra.
One who with jeweled crown raises the hand mudrā
and abides in the syllable-door
will quickly accomplish all activities.”
