復以定慧手五輪內向為拳，建火輪，舒二風輪屈為鉤形在傍持之，虛空輪地輪並而直上，水輪交合如拔折囉。頌曰：
Next, with both the samādhi and prajñā hands, turn the five maṇḍalas inward into fists and raise the tejomaṇḍalas; extend the two vāyumaṇḍalas, bending them into hook shapes and holding them at the sides; bring the ākāśamaṇḍalas and pṛthivīmaṇḍalas parallel and straight upward; and interlock the āpmaṇḍalas like a vajra. The verse says:
