次上觀嚩字，形如月九重，
光輪潔白色，在於霧聚中，
能雨一切水，充滿大千界，
故名大水輪。

Next, contemplate above the syllable VAṂ,
Shaped like a ninefold moon,
Its circle of light pure white,
In the midst of a mass of mist,
Able to rain all waters,
Filling the great chiliocosm;
Therefore it is called the great āpmaṇḍala.
