2.57

「祕密主！是名如來祕密印。最勝祕密，不應輒授與人，除已灌頂，其性調柔、精勤堅固、發殊勝願、恭敬師長、念恩德者、內外清淨、捨自身命而求法者。

"Lord of Secrets! These are called the Tathāgata's secret mudrās. Being the supreme secrets, they should not be conferred rashly on people, except for those who have received abhiṣeka, whose natures are gentle and compliant, who are diligent and steadfast, who give rise to extraordinary vows, revere their masters, are mindful of kindness and virtue, are pure inside and outside, and would sacrifice their own lives to seek the Dharma.
