1.49

「以無名指二小指相叉於掌內，二大指并竪，二中指並摘竪，二頭指各捻於中指背上節文。作此印時，百億諸佛、百億菩薩、百億金剛、四天王神、軍眾皆來護念，令證無上正等菩提。一切諸惡，若見持印，皆生慈順，不起惡心。若王難兵難刀難欲害人者，結此印誦呪。四十九遍，惡賊自被縛，迷問告心，不解終不得覺知，此印甚大威力故。」

"Interlock the ring fingers and the two little fingers inside the palms; stand the two thumbs erect together; extend the two middle fingers straight together; and press the creases on the upper joints of the back of the middle fingers with each of the two index fingers. When forming this mudrā, a hundred billion Buddhas, a hundred billion bodhisattvas, a hundred billion vajras, the spirit armies of the Four Heavenly Kings will all come to protect and remember you, enabling you to realise anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhi. All evildoers, if they see one holding this mudrā, will give rise to loving-kindness and compliance, and will not produce evil intentions. If there are perils of rulers, perils of troops, or perils of weapons threatening to harm someone, bind this mudrā and recite the mantra forty-nine times; the evil bandits will be bound on their own, becoming bewildered in their hearts, and will remain lost and incapable of awareness until it is undone, because this mudrā has extremely great majestic power."
