「諸佛不思議，所說法亦爾，
能信受持者，福德常隨身，
恒諠修伽陀，安樂人天眾。
我等願修業，云何而建立，
今佛天龍神，清淨之軌則？
云何令懺悔，破滅於業障？
云何而供養，降屈諸賢聖？
云何作歸依，得佛哀加護？
云何發弘誓，勸請及迴向？
云何教眾生，彼此俱利益？
唯願大慈悲，憐愍於一切，
廣為我等說，受持之法要。」

"The buddhas are inconceivable, / And so is the Dharma they preach; / For those able to faithfully accept and uphold it, / Blessings and merit constantly attend their person, / Constantly proclaiming the Sugata, / Bringing peace and bliss to the hosts of humans and gods. / We vow to cultivate the practice; / How are we to establish / The pure procedures / Of the Buddha, the devas, and the nāga spirits? / How are we to cause repentance, / Destroying karmic hindrances? / How should offerings be made, / To cause the sages and worthies to descend? / How should one take refuge, / To receive the Buddha's compassionate protection? / How should one give rise to great vows, / Make entreaties, and dedicate merit? / How should one teach sentient beings, / So that both self and other are benefited? / We only pray that with great compassion / You pity all beings, / And explain extensively for our sake / The essential dharmas to receive and uphold."
