Pisuṇaṃ vācaṃ pahāya pisuṇāya vācāya paṭivirato hoti, ito sutvā na amutra akkhātā imesaṃ bhedāya, amutra vā sutvā na imesaṃ akkhātā amūsaṃ bhedāya.
Having abandoned malicious speech, he abstains from malicious speech: not repeating there what he has heard here to divide these [people], nor repeating here what he has heard there to divide those [people].
