‘‘Suṇātu me, āvuso saṅgho, yadi saṅghassa pattakallaṃ saṅgho imāni pañca bhikkhusatāni sammanneyya rājagahe vassaṃ vasantāni dhammañca vinayañca saṅgāyituṃ, na aññehi bhikkhūhi rājagahe vassaṃ vasitabba’’nti. Esā ñatti.

"Let the Saṅgha hear me, friends. If it is suitable for the Saṅgha, the Saṅgha should authorize these five hundred bhikkhus, spending the rains in Rājagaha, to recite the Dhamma and the Vinaya, and no other bhikkhus are to spend the rains in Rājagaha. This is the motion.
