In the second round: "corrupted through play" means they are destroyed, ruined by play; they also write the text as padūsikā, but that is not in the commentary. "Excessively" means beyond time, the meaning is: for too long. "Indulging in the nature of merriment, play, and pleasure": having entered upon and engaged in the nature of merriment-pleasure and the nature of play-pleasure, engaged in the pleasure of joking and merriment, and bodily and vocal play-pleasure; the meaning is that they dwell endowed with the nature of pleasure of the kind described.
