Ete mayaṃ bhavantaṃ gotamanti idaṃ tesaṃ dutiyaṃ saraṇagamanaṃ. Paṭhamameva hete majjhimapaṇṇāsake vāseṭṭhasuttaṃ sutvā saraṇaṃ gatā, imaṃ pana tevijjasuttaṃ sutvā dutiyampi saraṇaṃ gatā. Katipāhaccayena pabbajitvā aggaññasutte upasampadañceva arahattañca alatthuṃ. Sesaṃ sabbattha uttānamevāti.

"Here we go to the master Gotama": this is their second going for refuge. For at first, having heard the Vāseṭṭha Sutta in the Middle Fifty, they went for refuge; but having heard this Tevijja Sutta, they went for refuge a second time too. After a few days they went forth, and in the Aggañña Sutta they attained both higher ordination and arahantship. The rest is clear everywhere.
