Disciples also recollect only by following the sequence of aggregates, and on reaching the realm of non-percipient beings, they do not see the continuity of aggregates. Even though this is so, there is no time when there is an absence of aggregates for beings wandering in the cycle of rebirth. But in the realm of non-percipient beings, [beings] persist for five hundred aeons; so having passed beyond that amount of time, standing on the method provided by the Buddhas, they recollect further, just like the Venerable Sobhita. But the two chief disciples and paccekabuddhas recollect having observed death and rebirth-linking. For Buddhas, there is no task of death and rebirth-linking: whatever place they wish to see, that very place they see.
