When, however, kings are righteous, then the viceroys also become righteous; in the same manner as before, everyone up to the Brahmā world becomes righteous. Because of their righteousness, the moon and sun course evenly, the wind blows properly, and blowing properly it does not shake the aerial mansions of the sky-dwelling deities. Because these are unshaken, the minds of the deities incline toward sport. Thus the seasons occur in due time, the sky rains properly, and, helping the crops from the time of sowing onwards, it rains in time and ceases in time. Thereby the crops ripen evenly and become fragrant, beautiful, delicious, and nutritious. The food produced from them, even when consumed, digests properly. Thereby beings are healthy and long-lived. Thus through climate and food the lifespan increases.
