Apissūti anubrūhanatthe nipāto. So – ‘‘na kevalaṃ etadahosi, imāpi gāthā paṭibhaṃsū’’ti dīpeti. Vipassintiādīsu vipassissa bhagavato arahato sammāsambuddhassāti attho. Anacchariyāti anuacchariyā. Paṭibhaṃsūti paṭibhānasaṅkhātassa ñāṇassa gocarā ahesuṃ, parivitakkayitabbataṃ pāpuṇiṃsu.
'Moreover' (apissu) is a particle in the sense of addition. It indicates: 'Not only did this occur [to him], but these verses also occurred to him.' In the words 'to Vipassī' (vipassintiādīsu) and so forth, the meaning is: to the Blessed One, the arahant, the fully awakened Buddha Vipassī. 'Unprecedented' (anacchariyā) means extraordinary. 'Occurred' (paṭibhaṃsu) means they became the objects of knowledge consisting of inspiration; they arrived at the state of being reflected upon.
