Through stinginess regarding gains, one is reborn in the excrement hell. Through stinginess regarding praise, having been reborn in a state of existence, one has no beauty at all. Through stinginess regarding the Dhamma, one is reborn in the hot embers hell. But this fetter of envy and stinginess is abandoned by the path of stream-entry.
