‘‘Niccaṃ utrastamidaṃ cittaṃ, niccaṃ ubbiggidaṃ mano;
Anuppannesu kicchesu, atho uppatitesu ca;
Sace atthi anutrastaṃ, taṃ me akkhāhi pucchitoti. (saṃ. ni. 1.98);

"Always terrified is this mind, / always agitated is this heart,
Regarding troubles that have not yet arisen, / and also regarding those that have befallen.
If there is what is free of terror, / tell that to me who ask." (SN 1.98)
