Evarūpo kho rājañña yaññoti evarūpaṃ rājaññadānaṃ aparūpaghātena uppannapaccayatopi aparūpaghātitāya sīlavantadāyakatopi sammādiṭṭhiādiguṇasampannapaṭiggāhakatopi mahapphalaṃ hoti. Sace pana guṇātirekaṃ nirodhā vuṭṭhitaṃ paṭiggāhakaṃ labhati, cetanā ca vipulā hoti, diṭṭheva dhamme vipākaṃ detīti.

"Such is a sacrifice, chieftain" means: such a gift of a chieftain, because the requisites were obtained without harming others, because the donor is virtuous by not harming others, and because the recipient is endowed with virtues such as right view, is of great fruit. If, moreover, one obtains an exceedingly virtuous recipient who has emerged from cessation, and the intention is vast, it yields its fruit in this very life.
