26.92

Pavaḍḍhissatīti vaḍḍhissati bahuṃ bhavissati. Sunisedhaṃ nisedheyyanti suṭṭhu nisiddhaṃ nisedheyyaṃ. Mūlaghaccanti mūlahataṃ. Kharassarenāti pharusasaddena. Paṇavenāti vajjhabheriyā.

‘It will increase’ (pavaḍḍhissati) means it will grow, it will become abundant. ‘I should thoroughly put a stop to it’ (sunisedhaṃ nisedheyyaṃ) means I should completely restrain it. ‘Eradication’ (mūlaghaccaṃ) means struck down at the root. ‘With a harsh sound’ (kharassarena) means with a rough noise. ‘With a drum’ (paṇavena) means with an execution drum.
