Ekidanti ettha idanti nipātamattaṃ, eke sattāti attho. Cārittanti micchācāraṃ. Abhijjhābyāpādāti abhijjhā ca byāpādo ca. Micchādiṭṭhīti natthi dinnantiādikā antaggāhikā paccanīkadiṭṭhi.

‘A certain’ (ekidaṃ): here, ‘idaṃ’ is merely a particle; ‘certain beings’ is the meaning. ‘Misconduct’ (cārittaṃ) means sexual misconduct. ‘Covetousness and ill will’ (abhijjhābyāpādā) means both covetousness and ill will. ‘Wrong view’ (micchādiṭṭhi) means the oppositional view that grasps at extremes, such as ‘there is nothing given’ and so forth.
