‘To the east of the sacrificial enclosure’ means to the east of the alms hall at the eastern city gate. In such a place they set it up so that those arriving from the eastern direction, having drunk gruel at the nobles’ alms hall and having eaten at the king’s alms hall, enter the city. ‘To the south of the sacrificial enclosure’ means, in the manner already stated, they set it up to the south of the alms hall at the southern city gate. In the west and north, too, this is the method.
