Imehi kho, vāseṭṭha, pañcahi nīvaraṇehi tevijjā brāhmaṇā āvuṭā nivutā onaddhā pariyonaddhā.
The brahmins proficient in the three Vedas are obstructed, hindered, swathed, and enveloped by these five hindrances.
