Khettānaṃ adhipatīti kho, vāseṭṭha, ‘khattiyo, khattiyo’ tveva dutiyaṃ akkharaṃ upanibbattaṃ.
‘Lord of the fields’ is the meaning of ‘aristocrat’, the second term applied to them.
