Thus have I heard. The Blessed One was once dwelling at Ujuññā, in the Kaṇṇakatthala deerpark. Now Kassapa, a naked ascetic, came to where the Exalted One was, and exchanged with him the greetings and compliments of civility and courtesy, and stood respectfully aside. And, so standing, he said to the Exalted One:
