5.14.p1

Asantaṃ bhāvanamiccheyyāti imaṃ dhammadesanaṃ satthā jetavane viharanto sudhammattheraṃ ārabbha kathesi. Desanā macchikāsaṇḍe samuṭṭhāya sāvatthiyaṃ niṭṭhitā.

The simpleton will seek for false reputation. This religious instruction was given by the Teacher while he was in residence at Jetavana with reference to the Elder Sudhamma. The story begins at Macchikāsaṇḍa and ends at Sāvatthi.
