Sabbattha ve sappurisā cajantīti imaṃ dhammadesanaṃ satthā jetavane viharanto pañcasate bhikkhū ārabbha kathesi. Desanā verañjāyaṃ samuṭṭhitā.
*Everywhere good men practice renunciation.* This religious instruction was given by the Teacher while he was in residence at Jetavana with reference to five hundred monks. The story begins at Verañjā.
