sabbe tasanti daṇḍassa sabbesaṃ jīvitaṃ piyaṃ, /
attānaṃ upamaṃ katvā na haneyya na ghātaye. //
All men tremble at punishment, all men love life; remember that thou art like unto them, and do not kill, nor cause slaughter.
