madhuvā maññatī bālo yāva pāpaṃ na paccati /
yadā ca paccatī pāpaṃ atha bālo dukkhaṃ nigacchati. //
As long as the evil deed done does not bear fruit, the fool thinks it is like honey; but when it ripens, then the fool suffers grief.
