Tatr'ābhiratiṃ iccheyya hitvā kāme akiñcano
Pariyodapeyya attānaṃ citta-klesehi paṇḍito.
they’d long for satisfaction there.
Forsaking sensual pleasures, owning nothing,
an astute person would cleanse themselves
of mental corruptions.
