Dīghā jāgarato ratti,
dīghaṃ santassa yojanaṃ;
Dīgho bālāna saṃsāro,
saddhammaṃ avijānataṃ.
Long is the night to him who is awake; long is a mile to him who is tired; long is life to the foolish who do not know the true law.
