3.24

هنوز امل ننهاده بر استانش پای هم از صریر درش بشنود جواب سؤال خسرو ستارگان اگر آستین وار به شرف دست بوس او اختصاص یابد علم صفت زبردست کیوان جای گیرد و اگر لمعهای از پرتو تجلی رأی انور او بر پیکر ماه رسد سرمایهٔ‌ نور تا صبح روز نشور به آفتاب جهانتاب بخشد، نفاذ فرمان قضامثالش سپاه جای مانده مردم گیا را سکندرآسا قوت شکیبایی دهد، مدد بخت کامیابش چوب خشک را چون عصای موسی شکنندهٔ‌ قلب لشکر جباران فرعون نخوت کند، دست تقدیر خصم بدسگالش را چون صورت آینه از سر تا پای در بند آهن کشیده، دبیر سپهر منشور سعادت نیکخواهان حضرت علیای او را بهخامە7آ خلود نوشته و زهرهآ داؤد الحان شمسهای از مآثر عنصر همایون و محاسن اخلاق ذات میمون این سلیمان ثانی در همهآ حال بدین قصیدهٔ‌ غرا ادا کرده:

Before hope has even set foot upon his threshold, / it hears the answer to its petition from the creaking of his door.
If the king of the stars, like a sleeve, is singled out for the honor of kissing his hand, like a banner
it takes its seat above Saturn; and if a flash from the radiation of the manifestation of his luminous judgment reaches the body of the moon,
it bestows the capital of light upon the world-illuminating sun until the morning of the Day of Resurrection; the efficacy of his decree-resembling judgment gives the left-behind army of the mandrake-plant
the power of forbearance in the manner of Alexander; the aid of his triumphant fortune makes dry wood,
like the rod of Moses, break the heart of the army of Pharaoh-arrogant tyrants; the hand of destiny has bound his malevolent enemy
in iron fetters from head to foot like the form of a mirror; the scribe of the sphere has written the decree
of felicity for the well-wishers of his supreme majesty with the pen of eternity; and Venus, the David of melodies,
has constantly delivered a sun-burst of the glorious deeds of the auspicious essence and the moral virtues of the blessed person of this second Solomon through this splendid panegyric poem:
