Sultan 'Ala-ud-Din, Kai-Kubad, ascended the throne on the decease of his father, Kai-Ka-us, and brought under his sway the territories of Rum, and parts adjacent.
He fought battles with the infidels of Afranj; and many indications of his goodness exist to this day.
He had sons, who acquired great renown, and became great men. He died on the 5th of the month Shawwal, in the year 633 H., and he, likewise, was buried at Kuniah.
