atha vā ciratvamanūdya dehapātāvadhitvamatrocyate /
anyathā ciratve 'vadhiviśeṣe cocyamāne vākyaṃ bhidyeta /
tatrāyamarthaḥ ---
yadi kasyacicciram, tāvadeva yāvanna vimokṣye iti /

Or rather, having reiterated the delay, the limit of the fall of the body is stated here. / Otherwise, if both the delay and the specific limit were being stated, there would be a split of the sentence. / In that respect, this is the meaning: / if there is delay for anyone, it is only so long until [he thinks] 'I am released'.
