śabdādyadātmavijñānaṃ tanna tāvadvidhīyate /
bhavatyadhītavedasya taddhi karmāvabodhavat //

The consciousness of the Self that arises from verbal testimony is certainly not enjoined;
for it arises for one who has studied the Veda, just like the comprehension of ritual action. //
