na syāt/ evaṃ loke śāstre cobhayathā śabdaprayogadarśanena mukhyārthatvānupapattau mañcāḥ krośantītyādivad aupacārikatvenopapatteḥ/

They would not. For, seeing that words are used in both ways in worldly usage and in the scriptures, since literal sense is impossible, it is justified as metaphorical, just as in ‘the platforms cry out’ and the like.
