'Deeming sacrifices and charitable works to be supreme, the utterly deluded know of no other highest good. / Having experienced the fruit of their good deeds on the summit of heaven, they enter this world or an even lower one.'
'Even the actionlessness of spotless, taintless knowledge does not shine when devoid of devotion to Acyuta; / How much less, then, action that is ever unpropitious when not offered to the Lord, even if free from desire?'
