asminnevādhikaraṇe gurumatamāha -
arthābodhādapramāṇaṃ pikālambhanacodanā |
maivaṃ mlecchaprasiddhyā'pi tabdodhādaviruddhayā ||
In this very topical section, he states the view of the Guru: / The injunction to immolate a pika is unauthoritative, because the meaning is not understood; / It is not so, because that [meaning] is understood even from Mleccha usage, since it is not contradicted.
