tṛtīyādhikaraṇamāracayati -
vaisarjanākhyahomīyanāsaso grahaṇasmṛtiḥ |
pramā na vā śrutyabādhātpramā syādaṣṭakādivat ||
He composes the third topical section: / Is the tradition of taking the cloth belonging to the Vaisarjana offering / valid cognition or not? Since it is not sublated by a direct Vedic statement, it would be valid cognition, like [that of] the Aṣṭakā and so forth.
