Mimamsasutra 42.2.5-2

42.2.5-2

caturthādhikaraṇamāracayati-
tisṛṣvṛkṣūditaṃ sāma viṣamāsu samāsu vā |
yathecchāniyamādantyaḥ śaraleśāpanuttaye ||

He sets forth the fourth topical section:
Is the sāman declared on three verses on unequal or on equal [verses]?
Since there is no restriction upon one's wish; the latter, to remove a slight defect.
