When attachment, aversion, and delusion are completely destroyed, activity does not lead to reconnection. But reconnection is rebirth upon the cessation of the previous birth, and that is caused by unseen karmic desert. When that [desert] is destroyed, upon the absence of the previous birth, the absence of another birth is non-reconnection, which is final release. / If it be said that the uselessness of ritual action would follow—no, because the experiencing of the maturation of ritual actions is not denied. It is said that upon the cessation of the previous birth there is no rebirth, but the experiencing of the maturation of ritual actions is not denied; for all prior ritual actions are brought to complete fruition in the final birth.
