vibhāgaś ca brāhmaṇavākyānāṃ trividhaḥ---
And the classification of Brāhmaṇa sentences is threefold—

vidhyarthavādānuvādavacanaviniyogāt ||
[Nyāyasūtra 2.1.62]: Because of the employment of injunction, explanatory passage, and reiteration statements.

tridhā khalu brāhmaṇavākyāni viniyuktāni---vidhivacanāny arthavādavacanāni anuvādavacanānīti//62//
Indeed, Brāhmaṇa sentences are employed in three ways: injunction statements, explanatory statements, and reiteration statements. //62
