NyS 4.1.12: [Objection:] Not so, because a pot does not arise from a pot.

idam api pratyakṣam --- na khalu vyaktād ghaṭād vyakto ghaṭa utpadyamāno dṛśyate iti, vyaktād vyaktasyānutpattidarśanān na vyaktaṃ kāraṇam iti//12//
This too is a perception: a manifest pot is certainly not seen arising from a manifest pot. Thus, since the non-origination of the manifest from the manifest is observed, the manifest is not the cause. ||12
