NyS 4.1.13: [Answer:] There is no denial [of our thesis], because a pot does arise from the manifest.
356.4
na brūmaḥ sarvaṃ sarvasya kāraṇam iti, kin tu yad utpadyate vyaktaṃ dravyaṃ tat tathābhūtād evotpadyate iti/ vyaktaṃ ca tanmṛddravyaṃ kapālasaṃjñakaṃ yato ghaṭa utpadyate/ na caitannihnuvānaḥ kvacid abhyanujñāṃ labdhum arhatīti/ tad etat tattvam//13//
We do not say that everything is the cause of everything; rather, whatever manifest substance arises, that arises only from [a cause] of such a kind. And that clay substance termed potsherd, from which a pot arises, is manifest. And one who denies this cannot find acceptance anywhere. Therefore, this is reality. ||13
