"rajaso mithuna sattvaṃ sattvasya mithunaṃ rajaḥ /
ubhayoḥ sattvarajasor mithunaṃ tama ucyate" //
"Sattva is the mate of rajas, rajas is the mate of sattva; / of both sattva and rajas, tamas is said to be the mate."
