ete pradīpakalpāḥ parasparavilakṣaṇā guṇaviśeṣāḥ /
kṛtsnaṃ puruṣasyārthaṃ prakāśya buddhau prayacchanti //
These modifications of the constituents, distinct from one another and like a lamp,
illuminating the entire purpose of the spirit, present it to the intellect. //
